For its Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, Lisa Folawiyo turned to a heady collage of color, print, and textures, creating a narrative that was much more personal and ephemeral than we’ve seen in the past. Selina Sutherland reviews.
Where to start? Probably in the city of Ogbomosho (Oyo State), where the eponymous designer would take childhood trips with her family. The collection literally stems from those journeys and all that she would see on the way: ‘wildlife, vegetation, trees…’ etc.
